I have been so bad at this blogging thing that it would take me to write about the last 6 months so I will just do it in pictures...

I forgot about this desk..One of my students brought me a couple of rocks everyday for like 2 weeks during our rock unit. I turned the desk around so the opening was against the wall and got to clean it out at the end of the year.

How time has flown...

How fast does time go by??? FAST! That's all I have to say. Holy Smokes I thought I had just updated this blog not very long ago and then I go to just see and it was Christmas. I guess I had started a post earlier but didn't even finish it. I guess I have been really lazy. No, not lazy just BUSY BUSY BUSY!

KYLE: Kyle is what I call a super trooper right now. He is working so hard in school right now. He amazes me with how much he does and how much he is learning. Kyle's day consists of waking up at 6:30 and then leaving for school at 7:00. He then has class and then studies and studies and studies. Most days he comes home around 7 or 8:00. Luckily he doesn't have classes on Friday but he still goes to study at the Library for about 6 hours or so. (I'm not exaggerating)  After quizzes on Thursday some of his classmates get together and play indoor soccer or he plays racquetball. I think he loves his second home at UNLV. He is really happy to be in school and to be busy again after his "vacation". He is always studying and still tries to spend time with me and will wait for me to go to sleep and then he will go back to the books. This coming week Kyle has finals for his 1st summer session so he's been studying even more.

NAOMI: I finished my first year of teaching 1st grade June 5th. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I am really going to miss my kiddos. I am transfering to Gehring Elem. and am really excited to be doing the KIDS program there. I had a week off and stayed in Vegas for a week and then came back to Mesquite to do a summer reading program at VVES. I am so grateful to be able to keep working even though it's "summer". The extra money will be nice too. I would go crazy being in Vegas by myself. I swore that while Kyle was finishing up at SUU that we would never live a part again, but you can tell that isn't the case. I HATE being away from him and the evenings are the worst. I am glad to have something to do and keep me busy because I would be going crazy if I was home all by myself all day. Luckily this summer program is only Monday - Thursdays so I get to be with Kyle for 1/2 of the week. Fridays mornings are when I get things done while Kyle goes to study and then we usually do something fun Friday night or Saturday night. We have been getting together with some friends that are also going through the PT program. (Christain & Abbie and Brad & Kenzie) They are married and LDS which is awesome. Their wives are awesome and it's so good to have friends in Vegas. We sure missed having young couples to hang out with while we were in Mesquite especially because we had so many friends in Cedar.
This was from the first week in June. I had to clean out my classroom and finished up the school year and Kyle started school all in the same week. The top right is our new house in Vegas. :)

4th of July

An old post I started...

Well, it's been 3 months so I guess I better start writing. Each day seems to be the same with nothing really going on, but then I start to think about all that has happened in the last 3 months and a lot has actually gone on. The only sad thing is I don't have any pictures. :(

Kyle moved down to Mesquite! Even though we practically lived a part from each other for three months it doesn't seem like that long but it was the worst thing in the world! After Kyle was done for the semester his brothers and his dad and some friends loaded up a trailer and brought everything down here to Mesquite. Now all of our "stuff" is in the garage. I am so thankful for Kyle's Grandma Annie for letting us live in her condo, but I will be SOOO HAPPY when we can have our own place again.
So, moving is another topic. Kyle got into the Physical Therapy program at UNLV. We are super excited about that because he has ALWAYS wanted to be a Rebel. It's crazy to think that a year ago he was studying to take the GRE and we were making lists of schools to apply to and now that is all done and over with. I was so scared for the whole process because when we talked to people about getting into graduate schools they wouldn't know where they were going and hadn't heard back from any schools. For some you went to the one school you got into. Kyle worked really hard with all of his essays, tests, application and EVERYTHING that would make a resume look good. He really was super busy with everything he had going on, but it all paid off. He applied to 8 schools and Kyle was accepted to 5!!! YES 5 schools and he didn't even go to 2 of the interviews!
Kyle starts school June 9th...so with that we should be moving to Las Vegas in the next 2 ish months. This makes me really nervous, scared, anxious, and all of the above. I'm kind of excited for a new adventure but I am really comfortable with where I am now. I LOVE the people I work with. I love the school and the kids. It is really depressing to think about having to transfer to a new school. I know I can't judge all of Vegas but I'm scared to work in a big city. I know there are great people and schools in Vegas and that's what I have to keep telling myself.
